After living here a year, how have I not heard of this place before? Luckily, I'm apart of a Facebook group and the members were raving about drakes. The pictures tempted me so I had to give it a try. The staff was very nice, and they graciously delivered to my house for a minimum of $20. Can get 8" or 12" sandwich, they are MASSIVE! Piled on meat and cheese, like subs are supposed to be!! The deli meat and cheese is the star of the sub, the tasty bread is a soft and tasty compliment! Each sandwich comes with chips and a pickle! Thanks for lunch drakes, made my day! Keep up he great work!

I'm in love with an Italian Stallion (the sandwich that is!) They're friendly folks serving large portions (usually split it with my husband) with quality ingredients. Their daughter said they get their tomatoes at the same vegetable stand I go to. Bread is delicious, what more can I say? They're known for their cheesesteaks but don't overlook the Italian Stallion. And bring your appetite!

I've lived in St. Augustine for five years now and have always lamented that downtown St. Auggie needed a REAL deli. Friends raved about the place and I FINALLY tried it out today. While perusing thru the menu, my mouth was literally watering and I felt like a kid in a candy store...."What do I REALLY want?" Well, as a Drake's Deli virgin, I had a difficult time making a decision. That's when I was urged to try the Italian Stallion - Mama Mia!!! This sub was soooo huge, that I could only eat half and it comes with a pickle and chips....SUPER reasonable prices! I HIGHLY recommend this deli to the locals, and, if you are a tourist visiting St. Augustine, you have to stop in to get more bang for your buck and for high quality, delicioso food! I will definitely be returning to try something new! Bravo to Drake's Deli!!

Friend of mine recommended this place to me and I am forever cursed! (Thanks Rob) This place is absolutely amazing! The food is exceedingly delicious. Fresh-baked bread, best meats, best peppers, best of everything and absolutely astounding! Locals know where to eat and this is best of the best. I had the Italian stallion. OMG, I going be dreaming /drooling about this sandwich for a week. So much flavor, just the right amount of heat from the peppers. Delicious or tasty are nice word, but this, this my friends is a sandwich worthy of praise on monumental level. Best sandwich in town, best sandwich that I've ever had in Florida. (Local for 14 years). Why are you still reading? Go eat already!
